Dublin based garden designer Alan Rudden has scored a hat trick for Santa Rita after his ‘Life is Rosé by Santa Rita ‘Living la Vida 120’garden was awarded a gold medal and Best in Show Planting award by the judges at Bord Bia’s Bloom-in-the-Park Flower Show in Dublin.

Over 120,000 visitors attended the 5-day family event celebrating the best of Irish horticulture, food and crafts. The Santa Rita ‘Life is Rosé’ garden, located in a prime position in the Show Garden area, attracted thousands of visitors, with 120 competition winners attending bespoke wine tastings held in a custom-made container positioned alongside the garden. The event was also used as a soft launch for two wines new to the market: the Santa Rita Rosé and the Early Harvest 120 Sauvignon Blanc with excellent coverage achieved in the National Press and on radio for the Rosé following a PR campaign in the weeks leading up to the event.

Rudden commented: ‘I am absolutely delighted with this win and am looking forward to bringing this garden to the UK in July where we are exhibiting at Hampton Court Flower Show in the Show Gardens of the World category. Ideas for the garden came from a trip out to Chile as a guest of Santa Rita – the colours and terroir of the Santa Rita vineyards were a great inspirational backdrop. The concept behind this year’s garden was to create a contemporary space with a Latin American feel and Mediterranean influence. The garden is tranquil, secluded and most importantly it is a beautiful space. It is the perfect place to sit back, relax, pour a glass of wine and enjoy a moment with loved ones.
