The American market is currently the second most relevant market for Chilean wine exports, only after China. Being in turn a producer country, the offer of wines for the consumer is wide and diverse, including most of the international denominations.

Under the premise ” Mass-market wines (…) can be found just about anywhere in the United States. They’re also affordable, which explains — at least in part — why they’re some of the best-selling wines in the country. But when taste is added to the price equation, how many of them are really bargains?”, the influential American newspaper The Washington Post, made a tasting of the country’s 29 most popular mass-market wines, separated in chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon / red blends.

Among the reds, 120 Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 was the winner in its category, chosen as the best price/quality cabernet available in the American market. The publication recognizes the popular wine of Santa Rita as the panel of tasters’ favorite, highlighting its “bright fruit flavors of berries and cherries, and is quite refreshing. Good burger wine, good bargain cabernet”.

120 is the best-selling Chilean brand in the world in all its formats, present in more than 80 countries. In 2016, 120 became the official partner of the English club Arsenal FC, and in 2017 celebrated the 50 years of history of the brand. In addition, 120 Cabernet Sauvignon is among the top 5 of all cabernet sauvignon imported into the US market, according to Nielsen June 2017.
