The 2017 Santa Rita Estate Reserve Sauvignon Blanc was included in the prestigious ranking that the American magazine publishes each year, commended for delivering an exciting yet affordable wine.

Santiago, December 2018. The latest edition of Wine Spectator, one of the most important publications in the wine industry, featured its celebrated 100 Top Values list, which includes all those wineries that “have committed themselves to production methods that yield the highest quality in the most cost-effective way. This is how great values are born”, Keith Newton comments regarding this year’s list.

Santa Rita Estate Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2017 made the 100 Top Values, in the Rich Whites. “This category of riper, fuller-bodied whites is still associated most closely with Chardonnay, which yields expressive versions from throughout the New World, yet there are many other wines from an array of regions that also offer richness and intensity balanced by vibrancy and structure”, introduces the category. “White fruit flavors show a seductive spiciness in this creamy white. Finishes plush, with fresh acidity”, commented Kim Marcus, awarding 89 points.

Sourced from the Casablanca Valley, this 100% Sauvignon Blanc shows a brilliant yellow color with green hues. Its intense aroma is a fragrant blend of citrus fruit and passion fruit with a slightly herbal backdrop typical of this variety. On the palate, it is concentrated, with a pleasant acidity that highlights its freshness, firm structure and excellent persistence. Ideal as an aperitif, it also pairs with marinated raw fish, shrimp cocktail, chicken and caviar.
