The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles began in Chile in 2007, although the international competition began 22 years ago. Its main priority is to guarantee consumers that it will recognize and differentiate wines of irreproachable quality from around the world and in all price ranges.

This year in Chile, a total of 240 wines from 30 different production zones were judged by a selection of expert tasters, including sommeliers, wine writers, buyers, winemakers, and academics from Chile and around the world. This diversity of both wines and tasters is a key characteristic of this competition, which only awards medals to wines scoring 92.25 or more points, earning it fame as the most competitive of all wine competitions.
