Santiago, February. Viña Santa Rita’s Chardonnay have achieved a very good result in different publications and competitions from Japan, United States and United Kingdom.

Santa Rita’s 120 Chardonnay 2017, from Central Valley, recently won a double gold medal in the fifth edition of Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards. Additionally, at the end of 2017, 120 Chardonnay 2016 was included on the top 100 Best Buys of the American magazine, Wine Enthusiast, highlighting it as “one of the most exciting and affordable wines” reviewed during the year.

This 120 Chardonnay combines grapes from different vineyards from the central zone to obtain a fruity, elegant wine. The coastal zones that have greater influence from the Pacific Ocean give a fresh, citrus character, while the area closer to the Andes lends tropical fruit notes and a lush mouthfeel. “This wine is a bright golden-yellow in color with fruity aromas of peaches and melon. The palate presents good volume and balanced acidity with medium-high persistence and fruitiness that make this a pleasing, easy-drinking wine,” said Santa Rita’s 120 Winemaker, Óscar Salas.

In addition, The Global Chardonnay Masters, competition led by the renowned British magazine The Drinks Business, identified the best Chardonnay from all around the world in every price range, highlighting Santa Rita’s Gran Hacienda Chardonnay 2017 with a gold medal.
