Viña Santa Rita announces agreement with Viña Bisquertt to distribute its portfolio in Chile
The alliance, which takes effect in September, will benefit both wineries. Bisquertt will increase its reach, and Santa Rita will continue to broaden its already extensive portfolio and strengthen its national distribution network.

With the aim of continuing to broaden the extensive portfolio in the national market and to continue strengthening its distribution channel throughout the country, Viña Santa Rita announces it has reached an agreement with Viña Bisquertt to represent it in Chile, effective in September 2016.

Bisquertt is a family-owned winery founded in 1978 by Osvaldo Bisquertt, one of the pioneers of grape growing in the Colchagua Valley. It has been nationally and internationally recognized from the beginning for its premium wines, and that, along with the quality of its wines, and the vision of sustainable development makes it a very attractive project for Santa Rita.

Vicente Droppelmann, the Assistent Director of National Marketing and Representations for Viña Santa Rita, says “One of our focuses as a company is to work on strengthening our winery as a distributor, and projects such as the one Bisquertt offers are particularly attractive to us because it is a boutique winery with high-quality products and the merit of having been a pioneer in the Colchagua Valley. That speaks to us of a project that had an innovative perspective and that has achieved great recognition in Chile and around the world.”

Viña Bisquertt General Manager Sebastian Bisquertt revealed that with this alliance, sales projections for 2017 reach 18,500 cases, which implies a 20% growth. “This alliance is a very important step for us because we see Santa Rita as a serious and professional company with a long history of distribution and sales in the national market, and we are proud to form part of the portfolio it represents. Furthermore, we believe that we complement Santa Rita’s premium wine portfolio very well.”

The Bisquertt portfolio that Santa Rita will distribute consists of its icon wine Tralca; its outstanding premium blend Q Clay; the Ecos de Rulo line’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, and Merlot; the La Joya Gran Reserva line’s Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Carmenere, Surah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Gewürztraminer, and Rosé; and Petirrojo Reserva, which includes the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Carmenere, Cabernet, and Merlot varieties.
