The event marked the launch of the 2022 vintage and the celebration of 30 vintages of the iconic Alto Jahuel wine from the Maipo Valley. Sourced from a vineyard of just 20 hectares, meticulously managed across 8 blocks and 25 micro-parcels, Casa Real preserves a historic legacy dating back to 1880.

Casa Real presented its new 2022 vintage in São Paulo during an exclusive dinner celebrating three decades of excellence since its first release in 1989. The Wine Dinner took place at Paparoto Cucina restaurant and brought together leading media representatives and distinguished clients.

The event was attended by Viña Santa Rita’s CEO, Javier Bitar; Commercial Director of Casa Real, Marie-Charlotte Fraysse; and Winemaker of Casa Real, Sebastián Labbé, along with the company’s commercial team in Brazil.

During the dinner, guests tasted the new vintage of this top Cabernet Sauvignon from Alto Maipo, which has established itself as a benchmark among South America’s fine wines.
“Casa Real 2022 is an exceptional wine that combines concentration and elegance (…) It is a vintage of precision, frehshness and balance, built on fruit purity and structural solidity, that offers a remarkable ageing potential and a timeless expresión of Alto Jahuel,” said Labbé, who was named one of the Master Top 100 Winemakers in the World by The Drinks Business.

Also, guests enjoyed pairings of the 2021 and 2020 vintages, allowing them to explore the evolution and distinctive style of this wine over time, showcasing the richness and depth of its character.

This release also marks the fifth consecutive year in which the wine has been launched through La Place de Bordeaux, the world’s most prestigious fine wine distribution network. With this, Casa Real reaffirms its standing as one of the great Cabernet Sauvignons of the Maipo Valley and the world, consolidating a three-decade legacy defined by consistency, identity, and the international projection of Viña Santa Rita.
