Medalla Real, from Viña Santa Rita, celebrates its 40th anniversary by implementing a unique augmented reality label across its various wine ranges. This label allows for a surprising celebration of the brand with just a simple bottle scan.

Forty years is a real reason to celebrate, and that is why Medalla Real from Viña Santa Rita, one of Chile’s most iconic brands, breaks into the industry by adding augmented reality labels to its lines, Medalla Real Reserva and Gran Reserva.

This technology, implemented for the first time in Chile in the world of wine, enables consumers to have an interactive experience with the product. Thanks to a label that comes to life in the hands of customers, scanning the bottle transports them to an environment that combines the real world with digital elements.

“We are proud to be celebrating 40 years with Medalla Real of Santa Rita, one of the favorite wine brands among Chileans. To celebrate, we wanted to share the great Medalla Real party with everybody through augmented reality, making it the first Chilean wine label to implement this technology and provide our consumers with a unique experience,” emphasized Francisca Muñiz, Corporate Marketing Director at Viña Santa Rita.

To mark this significant milestone, the brand is also launching an Anniversary Edition. It’s a wine aged for 13 months in French barrels, composed of 5% Cabernet Franc and 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the internationally recognized Maipo Valley for the production of this variety. This special edition pays tribute to the journey that has led Medalla Real to become one of the most recognized brands in the country.
